NCA CLINIC SPECIAL ONLY $79 @ 3D COACHING BOOTH #25 Coaching Matters Video and Training Program Featuring Tom Osborne Coaching really does matter. The statistics are conclusive. We, as a society, are struggling with what is right and what is wrong. The primary way we learn both right and wrong is through relationships we develop in our lives. We become what we see and do as modeled by others. Coach Osborne has seen it and done it all: son, father, husband, coach, administrator, and legislator. Coaching Matters is a must study for any coach searching to find real purpose in their coaching and life. Jeff Duke 3Dimensional Coaching IN THIS 12-MODULE VIDEO TRAINING AND STUDY GUIDE, former Husker Coach Tom Osborne, shares proven principles, strategies and lessons to equip you to improve your coaching and inspire others. Each module or lesson is 15 to 30 minutes long and covers the principles that matter to every coach. A comprehensive book that also serves as the companion workbook is included along with video training (accessible via DVD or Online). Nearly every successful coach can point to a good coach who taught them how to coach. Tom Osborne makes the case for coaching athletes in body, mind and spirit all three dimensions. He explains how every coach can get others to follow, giving their best effort without using intimidation tactics or manipulation. Study how any coach can leave a legacy. Topics include: mentoring, integrity, consistency, language, values, how to deal with adversity, work ethic, spirituality, loyalty, unity, vision and leadership. Tom Osborne was the head coach of the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers football team for 25 years. He has been inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Hall of Champions. Master of Science in Kinesiology - Coaching Program The Online Master of Science in Kinesiology - coaching program is designed to promote individual change within the professional practice of educators and coaches enrolled in the program. The philosophical foundation of the master s degree is to extend the students prior knowledge and experiences, including an understanding of philosophy and ethics, safety and injury prevention, physical conditioning, growth and development, teaching and communication, sport skills and tactics, organization and administration, and evaluation. Students will be able to demonstrate competencies outlined by the National Standards for Sport Coaches as well as the competencies that have been established for the graduate programs at Southern Arkansas University. The program will be delivered online to enable working professionals greater flexibility in completing their advanced educational studies. The online format enables working teachers and other professionals to complete their master s degree in a timelier manner. Many professionals working and/or living in communities within our region, due to restraints of time and distance, are unable to attend evening courses during the school year. The online environment will allow more educators and coaches greater access to graduate education. Why the Online MS in Kinesiology Coaching Program from SAU? Program is completely online; never need to be on campus Work full-time while completing your master s degree Highly experienced faculty who engage with students in a small class environment Cohort system allows you to network and build professional relationships with fellow coaches/ sport administrators Accreditation Southern Arkansas University is fully accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. www.saumag.edu http://web.saumag.edu/coaching Steve Dingman Program Director (870) 235-4383
