If you have any questions just contact us at the PC Extension Office 660-947-2705 Starting October 1, 2017 you can go online and enroll for the upcoming 2017-2018 program year. There may be a few new questions but there will be minimal changes. You will need your correct email address and password (that you used last year) when re-enrolling. Re-enrollment will take much less time than your initial enrollment, the system will remember your information for this year, and you just have to update it! Projects can be changed and/or deleted and this year s information will not be lost. Keep in mind you MUST be enrolled in the specific project if you wish to enter exhibits or animals in that project at the PC Fair in the fall. And also no changes or additions will be accepted after March 1, 2018 to your projects. Enrollment processes will be quicker if you pay by credit card but payment to the club/county office will be accepted as well. The website is; mo.4honline.com

PUTNAM COUNTY 4-H COUNCIL MEETING DECEMBER 4, 5:30 PM AT THE PC COURTHOUSE Missouri Association of Fairs & Festivals Scholarship The Missouri Association of Fairs and Festivals (MAFF) is pleased to announce the availability of a $1,000 scholarship sponsored by Staats Awards and administered by the MAFF Presidents. Potential applicants must be spring of 2017 graduate. The fair recommending the applicant must be a member of Missouri Association of Fairs & Festivals. A listing of member fairs and the application is available from at www.mofairs.org. Applications must be postmarked by November 27, 2017. The scholarship will be awarded in January, 2018. The AKSARBEN Lamb Challenge Contest Applications due Dec. 1, 2017* The AKSARBEN Lamb Challenge Contest, held annually in conjunction with the AKSARBEN Stock Show, provides 4-H youths an opportunity to showcase their knowledge and ability to raise a Market Lamb for show. Lambs are provided by the AKSARBEN Foundation and awarded to youths chosen through an application process. Participants are evaluated on their projects from the time they are distributed in the spring all the way through the production phase. Lamb Challenge recipients must have exhibited at the current year s AKSARBEN Stock Show and have at least one year of exhibiting eligibility remaining. Previous Lamb Challenge participants are eligible to re-apply as long as they have not been selected overall Champion or Reserve Champion in a previous Lamb Challenge contest. 2017 Agriculture Educators Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient is Joe Koenen He will be receiving his award on Friday, December 1 at 7:00 pm at the Missouri Livestock Symposium in Kirksville. 2017 Livestock Person of the Year Recipient is Fon E. Owings, DVM He also will be receiving his award on Friday, December 1 at 7:00 pm at the Missouri Livestock Symposium in Kirksville. Make plans now to come to the Missouri Livestock Symposium at William Matthew Middle School, 1515 S. Cottage Grove and show our support for Joe and Fon. The Agriculture Educators Lifetime Achievement Award honors agriculture educators who have made considerable contributions to agriculture in Northeast Missouri through their educational efforts over the years. Eligible applicants must have been residents (do not have to be current residents) of the following northeast Missouri counties: Adair, Clark, Knox, Lewis, Linn, Macon, Marion, Monroe, Pike, Putnam, Randolph, Ralls, Schuyler, Scotland, Shelby or Sullivan.
CHRISTMAS ANGELS What you need; * Gold ribbon * Wooden doll heads * Gold pipe cleaners * Glower pot * Acrylic paint * Paint brush * Hot glue gun What you do: 1. Paint the flowerpot. This can be done in any color. Tell children to be creative in the way they paint their pots. (Make stars, hearts, squiggle lines, or other on the pots). 2. Take the gold ribbon and fold it so it looks like a set of wings. 3. Take the gold pipe cleaner and bend it into a halo. 4. Use the got glue gun to glue the wooden head, halo and wings to the pot. The wooden head should go on first, and then glue the halo at the base of the head. The wings go on the back of the pot 5. Let the glue dry.
