In recognition of the value these groups provide in keeping us connected with our communities, we make annual contributions to a charity of each member s choosing. In 2017, NIPSCO contributed $12,600 to 122 charitable organizations on behalf of our CAP members. Since the program s origination in 2004, more than $155,000 has been donated to 427 organizations on their behalf.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT We re working to attract new businesses and support the expansion of existing businesses while helping to create more jobs across the area by partnering with community leaders and state, regional and local economic development organizations. Investments of more than $1.1 million annually in economic development efforts resulted in 67 new businesses or expansions and 7,500 local jobs in the last 10 years. Additionally, the investments we re making to modernize and upgrade our energy infrastructure continue to have a positive, direct impact on the local economy.
