Law School to Host Debate in Democratic Primary for Pennsylvania Governor The Harrisburg campus is partnering with the Pennsylvania Cable Network and the Pennsylvania Legislative Correspondents Association to present a debate between the candidates vying for the Democratic nomination in the November race for Pennsylvania governor. A panel of association representatives will pose questions during a debate in A180 on Wednesday, April 9. PCN will air the event live beginning at 7 p.m. Brian Lockman, president and chief executive officer of PCN, will moderate. Candidates taking part include: Katie McGinty Allyson Schwartz Tom Wolf Candidate Rob McCord has been invited but has reported a schedule conflict and is not expected to attend. The debate is open to the public and doors open at 6 p.m. Associate Professor Jill E. Family, director of the Law & Government Institute, will begin the program with welcome remarks. Join us! 2

VOLUME 2013/2014 ISSUE 29 FROM THE REGISTRAR S OFFICE COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY 2014 Ushers. The Registrar s Office needs 8-10 reliable students to volunteer as ushers at commencement on May 18. Qualifications: Must be willing to work from 9:00 a.m. 12:30 p.m. and have transportation to the Forum in downtown Harrisburg. Ushers must be dressed professionally and willing to deal with excited graduates and families. Graduation Meetings. Graduation meetings will be held on April 16, 2014, at 12:15 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. in room A180. Caps, gowns and a packet containing invitations and tickets will be handed out at these meetings. EMPLOYMENT FORMS If you are a Regular Division Student and have not filled out an employment form for spring 2014, please stop in the Registrar s Office and do so as soon as possible. It was due February 1 st. OPTING OUT OF EXAMSOFT If you plan to write your exam, you will need to fill out an OPT OUT FORM. You will then be reimbursed from the Business Office. The deadline is April 23, 2014, or before that date if you have a Quiz or Mid-term. The form is available in the Registrar s Office, Registrar s Bulletin Board or on-line. The Registrar s Office regular office hours are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hours may be extended if necessary during the course of the semester. The office phone number is 717-541-3904.
