Join us for a 30 hour idea to prototype building contest, where the best and brightest minds compete to win exciting prizes. If you have an innovative IoT idea, send in your entry for ITC Infotech s itech 2015 IoT Hackathon. Shortlisted candidates will be provided with an IoT kit for the Hackathon. Participation is free and open for all! This is a team-based competition. Each team should have a minimum of 2 members and maximum 4 members.
Challenges Retail is about continuously enhancing customer shopping experience and also ensuring availability & visibility of stocks specially in consumer goods. Smart Retail Entries in this category can focus on anything from stock keeping and inventory management to in-store customer experience. Can you create solutions for monitoring stock movement and placing inventory orders? How about Smart Shelves? If refrigerators have become intelligent to send out orders for delivery, can retail shelves not be intelligent enough to enable automatic re-ordering of stock to back-end fulfilment systems? The teams will be provided with actual retail display shelves of CPG products using which their solution can be demonstrated to solve this real-world challenge. Your solution could power the Make in India campaign. As India gears up to become the world s manufacturing hub, IoT can be a game changer in creating intelligent manufacturing units and ensuring plant, machinery Smart Manufacturing and equipment health. Can you create a solution to constantly monitor and predict in real time the health of machines and equipment to enable proactive servicing to avoid disruption of manufacturing units? You can also send in entries and solution ideas to create smart manufacturing units and assembly lines, which can utilize analytics to optimize the production process.
Supply Chain forms the backbone of many industries from Retail, Consumer Goods, Manufacturing to Hi-Tech. An intelligent supply chain can address many real-world business challenges, and supply chain visibility is a critical Smart Supply Chains component. You are welcome to send in your ideas on how your IoT solution can help create a smarter supply chain warehouse, inventory management, transportation, planning, and tracking, demand planning, the list goes on! Smart Agriculture Technology interventions in the Agriculture and Forestry sector can help unlock true potential by enhancing productivity. From farming equipment, soil composition sensing, to the impact of climate changes, the canvas is vast and ripe for innovation to drive the next wave of growth. For example, can your solution spot a diseased plant in the farm? If yes, can it intelligently recommend corrective action? Our panel of experts will assess your submission on the strength of the business case you present and its viability for companies to adopt and implement. DETAILS Know the Rules of the Game Rules of the game Participants must bring their own computing device. Participants can also have any kind of programming aids and software tools as well as creative assets to enhance the look and feel of the prototype, provided they have all the proper licensing or use rights for such programming aids, software tools or assets Bring your computing device, with atleast 10 GB of free space [Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 (64 bit) or Mac OS 10.x (64 bit) or Linux (Ubuntu 14 or recent)] The IoT kit provided by ITC Infotech will contain 3 components processing board, wireless device and basic sensors Each team will be provided with one IoT kit. Participants are allowed to retain the IoT kit Participants may bring IoT accessories provided they have all the proper licensing or use rights for such accessories Please provide details of items you are planning to bring along with your entry form ITC Infotech will provide wireless hi-speed internet connectivity and electricity outlets
Rules of the game Application process Teams need to register on the itech 2015 registration site and submit their IoT Solution idea http://itcinfotech.fhsidealab.com Shortlisted entries will be informed prior to the event Space at the event is limited, and restricted to pre-screened and shortlisted candidates only No walk-ins are permitted A jury panel will screen the entries and shortlist final participants. During the itech 2015 Hackathon, our jury members will evaluate the prototypes All submissions must be in English Participants must be the owner of their submission the submission must be the original work of the entrant (or member of the team) Participants bear the responsibility of violation of any of the above-listed obligations ITC Infotech gains no ownership rights of the submission
