You must be a candidate for teaching in a POST Regular Basic Course. The AICC course is intended to equip instructors with the skills, competencies and knowledge necessary to deliver training for recruits and peace officers in a manner that emphasizes the retention and application of knowledge consistent with the goals and mission of policing. A primary goal of AICC is to comply with the requirements of the minimum standards for Regular Basic Course (RBC) instructors detailed in POST Regulations 1071, 1082, and 1083. Basic knowledge and skills in compliance with minimum standards to meet requirements established by the Commission on Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST) for persons serving as Specialized Investigators in the State of California. SWAT - Special Weapons and Tactics (PRE-REQUISITE*) Contract Education No college credit 2 weeks 80 Hours POST Certified Attendance is by permission only. There is also a mandatory Physical Fitness test conducted the first day of class. Email for pre-class information since there are restrictions and pre-requisites.
