BCH Youth Club is looking at trying to engage young people across Blackpool by holding various group activities (indoor and outdoor) over a 6-7 month period with the club4me campervan 11. What activities do you want us to fund? We are looking at holding Dance, Music, Art & Craft, Archery, Football, Rounders, Graffiti Art, Face painting and other outdoor activities depending on the weather. 12. Why do you feel your project is needed and have you carried out any consultation with the people who will benefit from the project? (provide evidence) We feel that there is a distinct lack of engagement with the youth community across Blackpool and we feel that by holding the group activities we could offer them an outlet to express themselves. We carried out a question and answer session with 12-18 year olds at our head office (Coastal House), and at local schools where we have our largest volume of housing stock and the results were overwhelmingly positive for wanting these activities. Out of 400 people questioned, 346 said they would attend, 42 said they already attend personal groups and the rest were undecided. Page 2
13. Please outline the support you have for this project from BCH staff and other community members? We have been working closely with the ASB team at BCH.
