LHC Veterans Treatment Court November 2015 Our last hike in October at Windsor State Park was a great opportunity for LHC s Justice Involved Veterans to get out and enjoy each others company. Family members, Vet Court staff and Counselors also attended to show their support. There were over 43 participates combined, inspiring more hikes in our Veterans Treatment Court s future.
The London Bridge Days Parade was a huge success. Veterans Treatment Court was represented proudly by many of the Veterans Resource Team members. The train had every counseling agency represented and many of the supporting Veteran organizations. The VRT has been one of the strongest supports to the success of our Veterans Court and the Justice Involved Veterans.

The identified number of Justice Involved Veterans in Mohave County is increasing. With limited resources available, the operation of a Veterans Treatment Court in a rural area can be difficult. With the support of the Community and Veteran agencies, Lake Havasu City has successfully operated a Veterans Treatment Court for 2 years with a 0% graduate recidivism rate. As our program has grown and developed, the need in other communities has become apparent. Partnering through a regional administration with Lake Havasu City, the City of Kingman will open their doors to Kingman s Veterans Treatment Court November 2015. Kingman s Veterans Treatment Court will better serve its Justice Involved Veterans and aspires to reduce the recidivism rate and ultimately reduce costs to the community. The Regional Partnership of two Veteran Treatment Courts will increase Veteran resources, streamline procedures and operations and provide a platform for all of Lake Havasu City s and Kingman s Justice Involved Veterans to succeed.
Name: Randall Dolman Service: Navy VTC Grad: 10/09/2015 VTC Experience: I believe Veterans Court is on the right track. Veterans have experienced enough pain in their lives and should not have to continue to be involved in the Justice System especially combat Veterans. In Veterans Court, you feel kindness, cared for and loved. Any of the Veteran resources or services that seemed out of reach, Vet Court makes available. I cannot say enough good things about this program and its effect it had on me. I hope to get further involved through mentorship. - Randall Dolman

Family and Friends are always welcome at our Veterans Treatment Court Hearings. We firmly believe it is their involvement that helps with the recovery process. To encourage Family and Friends involvement, for every one person a Justice Involved Veteran brings to court, they will receive a ticket to be placed into a raffle. Each Vet Court, we will draw a name and the Veteran picked will receive a gift. A small token for the big support you will receive!
