Trainng info posted on the State Trauma Website. This will improve the link between EMS/WARDS and Trauma as both will be on imagetrend. DI data will not be available after 12/31/16 Tabitha maternity leave. Discussed comment cards re. educational recommendations passed around for attendees to complete. Potential ideas 2017: 1. Ortho trauma (Blomberg) 2. Trauma Case Studies (TS / FFL) 3. EMS event / case studies 4. Follow-up re. recent learning opportunities Feb. 2017: Tentative peds trauma by Dr. Ahrens ThedaCare Trauma Symposium tentative: 5/23/17 Will meet after the meeting begin planning for EMS night 2

Injury Prevention Committee Report Kathi Hegranes (Chair) Discussed tai chi training (approved by Board previously) training was excellent attendee was appreciative and a participant class is scheduled/overbooked. Focused on 65 y/o plus with disabilities. Able to do standing, seated or chairassist. Goal: Fall prevention Winnebago Co. Staggered Handout Will be bringing an updated prototype in the new year New website r/t fall prevention: findingbalancetogether. Will be looking for subject matter experts throughout the region r/t falls. Will also provide info on classes in the region. A link will be added to the FVRTAC website once it is up. 3

Presented via phone/powerpoint Burn Surge Plan Dr. Clark Preliminary plan at this time will send out revised document for feedback. 19 burn beds in WI -? include childrens? ABLS course available on-line Burn Surge Facilities: Large scale event will prevent all pts from going direct to a burn unit. Proposal for BSF would be to provide initial treatment up to 72 hours. Goal: 2/region HCC & Regional Medical Coordinating Centers (RMCC) will help coordinate process No formal RMCC defined in our region at this time Burn coordinating center likely UW (1 facility in WI to coordinate WI burn plan) Discussion/Questions: Roll-out / training plan for facilities & staff A plan is in development Does the 19 beds include peds beds (CHW & American Family Childrens)? CHW does not have dedicated burn beds. Includes all dedicated burn beds in WI IF there is a burn surge would patients go out of state? Yes as needed throughout the Great Lakes Burn Coalition coordinated by the Burn Coordinating Center Future: Determin burn-surge facilities in each region 4

RTAC coordinators report Voting of Executive Board Members: Member-at-large - Member at large - Pre-hosptial provider - Trauma Coordinator Jason Selwitschka Jason EMS-C has approximately $10,000 in carry-over funding to be spent by end of Feb. Recommendations: - Purchase PALS books for RTAC distribution - High-fidelity PEds manikens for RTACs - EMS peds training e.g., seizures, trauma, etc possibly including web-based training ED Length-of-stay survey (>3 hours): Looking at delay reasons DHS 118 rule in final stages before going to legislation. WI EMS: 70 services have converted to WARDS Elite. EMS office reportedly working on a selflearn PowerPoint. Tourniquets for Law Enforcement: >6000 distributed. Remaining can only go to Law Enforcement. They are being offered to Tech Colleges then officers can apply for a 2 nd, can also apply for or exchange current for a K-9 tourniquet EMS/STAC joint meeting: Joint statement to approve SALT as the MUCK approved training for WI. STAC: Will have a pre-hospital position opening after the 1 st of the year.
