Wood County 4-H Youth Connections June July 2016 Learn Life Skills and Support Wood County 4-H at the Same Time. The 2017 edition of the Wood County Plat book is in the works. Each family will have an opportunity to support local 4-H programs and help youth develop valuable life skills. The sale of advertisements to 4-H Supporters helps to ensure that the book is a lucrative fundraiser. You can help by approaching local businesses and asking them to purchase an ad during the sales period of June 1-July 15. This timing allows youth and adults to go to businesses during regular hours, giving them an opportunity to tell their 4-H story to potential advertisers or practice their sales pitch. Don t forget each ad sold also means that the club gets money back to use for their educational programs as well. Your club leaders will have information to share with your during your June meetings. This includes past advertisers, an ad rate sheet, and the advertiser agreement forms. If you need any assistance, please contact the UW-Extension Office. We can provide additional forms and support materials and will answer any questions you might have. If you are a business owner and you want to make sure that you get contacted about advertising you can contact the UW-Extension office to make sure you are included in the book. Thanks for your help in supporting the Wood County 4-H Program.
