The Registry upgrade project In January 2017, the EBMT Registry database reached the milestone of 500,000 patient registrations. After the failure of the first registry upgrade project launched in 2012, Elsevier was appointed to develop a new registry system, based on the EDC system called MACRO. The registry upgrade project is now on track and will be delivered successfully soon. During 2017, the new Cell therapy forms were finalised and implemented in preparation of the advent of the novel cellular therapies such as CAR-T cells.

Advocacy and institutional relations Active collaborations with key EU health bodies: DG SANTÉ - EBMT is a member of the Common representation of Substances of Human Origin s (SoHO) (CoRe SoHO). EMA - Since 2015, EBMT in close contact with EMA with the EBMT participation to the EMA Patients Registries Initiative, with CAR-T Cells workshop on 9 February 2018. Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI) - EBMT is a contributor to the HARMONY Project which aims to use big data to deliver information that will help to improve the care of patients with these diseases.
