Adult Volunteer of the Month June Loraine De Oliveira. Loraine is the quintessential Red-Crosser, she has contributed to the betterment of her community through leadership, personal action and advocacy. With professionalism and empathy, she is an inspiration to all those who endeavor to provide valuable service, to enrich the lives of others, and to lead by example. In the last three months she has enabled us to hold a highly effective fundraiser, continued to provide valuable station leadership, and was integral in the planning and execution of the most widely praised American Red Cross Recognition Event we have had. In addition, Loraine is actively involved in the Vicenza Community Club and was the volunteer coordinator for the EFMP Field Day - an exceptional community event. Thank you Loraine 4
Youth Volunteer of the Month June Kaitlyn Rather Kaitlyn originally began to assist a younger troop in order to gain some Girl Scout service hours in order to earn a badge with her own troop. As she grew in confidence and experience, she took the initiative in planning projects for the younger Scout troop, using an ever-developing array of talents. She has directly influenced the 12 girls in the younger Scout troop, as well as being recognized as a role model by the parents of those girls and her own middle school peers. Through her service, she has inspired other middle school Girl Scouts to volunteer to assist in other troops and to become committed to enriching the lives of girls in our community. The Vicenza Community as well as the Vicenza Girl Scouts benefits greatly from her involvement. Thank you Kaitlyn 5
