Communication: observe the communication utilized by the nurse and adolescents or pre adolescents in the school setting. Give specific examples. 3. Third Page (Health Issues and Safety) a. Name 10 health issues and interventions seen on a regular basis by school nurses. Include health issues seen during the school day. b. Safety and Injury Prevention: Students will compare the actual facility with the textbook description of safety and injury prevention required for the various age groups encountered there. Include any deficits at the facility that may negatively affect children s health/safety. 4. Nursing Process Complete the abbreviated nursing process forms included in the packet, for two different clients. 5. Growth and Development Compare the textbook description of growth and development with the assessment of one specific child in the facility and/or clinic to include: physical, intellectual, emotional-social, and sexual-moral development depending on the age.
