ANNUAL REPORT OF SPIE NATIONAL TAIWAN UNIVERSITY STUDENT CHAPTER By Fu-Hou Chen President of NTU student chapter In the last year, SPIE National Taiwan University (NTU) student chapter has co-organized 6 activities with National Council of Taiwan, Optical Engineering Society of R.O.C., Ministry of Economic Affairs of Taiwan and NTU. Invited speakers from USA, Japan, Australia, UK and Taiwan were invited to present their talk at NTU. Experts in related field, students and professors of NTU or nearby universities attended these talks. Participants of these talks are ranged from 30 to 100. Mr. Fu Hou Chen, the present president of chapter, and other fellow were elected to be the new officers of SPIE NTU student chapter in the January 2008, and new members joined us. Several professors and groups were our guests, and we felt very happy to welcome them. On the other hand, Fu Hou Chen and Li Han Huang participated in the SPIE Leadership Workshop and Optics+Photonics. We appreciated SPIE to give us the chance to broad our horizon very much.
