Advocacy WG Survey Inclusive Communication February-April 2016 Aim: to identify if there is a need for European non-oncology societies to establish collaboration with EONS, especially regarding (basic) education programs in oncology to support non-oncology nurse in their role and interaction with cancer patients 8 main questions 255 visitors 112 completed and submitted the survey

1 st European Cancer Nursing Day 2017 EONS will hold the 1 st European Cancer Nursing Day on 18 th May 2017. This coincides with the 25 th anniversary event of the Estonian National Cancer Nursing Society and the EONS Board Meeting which is scheduled to be held in Estonia. Purpose: To Recognise European Cancer Nursing on an annual basis. Social media (Twitter, Facebook) will be the main channels of communication for the day.

EONS believes that research is essential to enhancing the quality and delivery of evidence based cancer care for patients and their families across Europe Also through its RECaN project, research is seen as the means to provide the evidence that will promote the visibility and recognition of cancer nursing across Europe (and internationally). The Research Working Group will provide a forum through which research expertise can be shared, in order to support and develop research capacity and capability in EONS members
RWG Objectives To encourage research activity and collaboration amongst EONS members, national societies, external supporters and patient groups as effectively as possible To identify areas of research that need further attention or even uncharted areas. To identify and review new funding opportunities in order to support ongoing research activity
