Security Training with S.O.T.U. Special Operation Training Unit is proud to offer a variety of professional security courses in response to the evolving threat of crime and global terrorism. As times change so does the nature of the threats against modern society and S.O.T.U. is committed to staying one step ahead and offer our clients the most comprehensive and most professional security training. Our courses are designed and delivered by experienced security professionals with a rich operational background in the Royal Dutch Marines, as well as hands-on experience in various security operations including protection of HNWI, formal state visits and major events. S.O.T.U. values the time and resources our clients spend when they attend our courses, therefore the learning process and acquisition of applicable skills is our highest priority. We ensure that each and every one of our course graduates are able to understand and execute the tasks at hand, because we understand that peoples safety and security depend on it.

Our Courses At S.O.T.U., security is not one-size-fits-all. Each task and facility have their own unique requirements and restrictions. Our courses prepare learners to perform security related duty based on an understanding of their environment, the potential threats and the client s needs. We also understand that not everything can be taught at once and some things can only be learned through experience. For that reason our courses are designed to offer learners as well as employers a clear professional horizon that will support them along their career and provide continuously growing knowledge and skills at the same pace that their responsibilities and capabilities expand. The increasing global threat of violent crime and terrorism inspires and encourages independent actors ( Lone Wolves ) to carry out random, uncoordinated attacks against civilian targets. Recent attacks show that such incidents, titled Active Shooter Scenarios by the FBI, almost always result in catastrophic damage to the organization on multiple levels - From the immediate casualties to the future consequences of compensation claims, loss of clientele and drastic drop in employee productivity as a result of trauma. The same recent attacks also show that the extent of the damage can be significantly reduced by ordinary civilians, who are trained to respond correctly to such attacks by disrupting the flow of events and buying time for evacuation and the arrival of emergency services. This course covers the following topics: Threat sources Attack patterns What to expect from an active shooter Response options Run, Hide, Fight Defend & Disarm Hand to hand combat Utilizing safe zones in the facility What to do when the police arrives Practical simulations And more Certification: A S.O.T.U.
