MEP Funded Recruiters in Selected Funded Parishes Find K-12 students in their parish. Have the option to recruit OSY or coordinate with regional recruiter to locate and identify OSY. Local recruiters find the children and serve the children. Includes: Lafayette, Lafourche, Rapides, Terrebonne and Tangipahoa (covering St. Helena, Livingston, Washington & St. Tammany)

Recruitment Expectations for MEP Funded Staff in Funded Parishes Work with regional recruiter to find eligible children and youth. Migrant staff in schools will be able to complete COEs. Funded parishes may request assistance from regional recruiters at different times. Regional recruiters will identify and recruit OSY; local staff may participate in OSY recruitment if desired.

ID&R Plans for Regional Recruiters A month to month plan of ID&R activities that will occur in all parishes in region (both funded and low incidence) Map of the district and housing in which migrant families and OSY are likely to reside A list of qualifying crops and activities in the assigned region Conduct research and site visits to every H2A and H2B worksite

ID&R Plans for Regional Recruiters Incorporate Migrant Search Forms into school registration packets. Follow up on completed Migrant Search Forms Maintain a directory and a log of all outreach and research into businesses and community organizations Conduct MEP informational sessions to high priority schools and parishes

ID&R Plans for Regional Recruiters Complete an OSY Profile for every OSY recruited Give each OSY recruited a Hygiene bag and conduct a mini lesson when applicable Facilitate referrals for OSY seeking credit recovery, high school equivalency and other non-academic needs.
