Tissue Viability ducation Plan 2018 County Tissue Viability Team ducation Meetings These meetings are for County Tissue Viability Team Members To determine and implement the strategy within Tissue Viability across Worcestershire. To facilitate the development of policies, guidelines and wound management formulary across Worcestershire. To facilitate the networking and implementation of best practices To co-ordinate undertaking evaluations in Registered Health Care Professionals practice. To provide education and training to the team members in Tissue Viability 1 pm 4.30 pm 23rd January 2018 15th March 2018 26th April 2018 7th June 2018 24th July 2018 13th September 2018 6th November 2018 13th ecember 2018 Shrawley Village Hall Stop The Pressure day To highlight the current agenda regarding pressure ulcer prevention, risk assessment, moisture lesions, pressure ulcer classification, RCA process and learning, CQUIN and documentation. This will be run with WHCT and will be sponsored by manufacturing companies and there will be an exhibition during the event. 15 th November 2018 Worcester Rugby Club Tissue Viability & Children s A one day study event on Tissue Viability in children specifically for the Children s Team. Assessing and utilising pressure reducing equipment in Registered Health Care Professionals practice, including Children s services Waterlow Risk Assessment All Registered Health Care Professional staff who order pressure reducing equipment through the Integrated Community quipment Service will need to complete this course. The course is suitable for any Registered Health Care Professional involved in assessment, allocation and use of pressure reducing equipment through the Integrated Community quipment Service including Children s service. NB Further dates to be confirmed by learning and development Leg ulcer care To assist the Healthcare Professional in leg ulcer care. This will be sponsored by Leg Ulcer manufacturing companies and there will be an exhibition during the event It is open to all Registered Healthcare Professionals and will be an update for all those who have completed their accredited leg ulcer course. This conference will include care of the patient with Chronic Oedema oppler Ultrasound To provide an update on oppler Ultrasound including the latest technology and evidence. NB. oppler Ultrasound should only be undertaken in accordance with national and local guidelines by a registered health care professional who has undertaken an accredited course. This course is designed as an update for those who have completed their accredited course in leg ulcer management Compression Study days To provide theoretical and practical education in relation to the application of compression bandaging and hosiery. This is a whole day and will include theory and hands on practical experience.
