Delgado Community College- Charity School of Nursing Fall 2018 Level III Registration Information Please note: ALL Sections are TENTATIVE and subject to change! The curriculum plan for the third semester, Level III, includes the following courses: -NURS 220 (Nursing III), NURS 223 (Special Populations II), NURS 225 (Pharmacology III), and Math 120 or above. ALL courses must be completed prior to enrolling in the fourth semester nursing courses. -Students who enroll concurrently in NURS 220 and NURS 223 must enroll in the same section of courses taught by the same team. (If a student enrolls in NURS 220 section 301, they must enroll in NURS 223 section 301). - MANDATORY Level Orientation will be Monday, August 20 from 11-1 in the Gym. Attendance will be taken. Students should make arrangements to be on campus every day during the first week of classes including students in Saturday clinical groups. Please make arrangements now; attendance is not optional! -Nursing 220 Clinical includes two 5-week rotations, Adult Med-Surg and Pediatrics, for 12 hours per week. -Nursing 223 Clinical includes one 5-week rotation for 9 hours of clinical per week. Important instructions regarding registration: 1. Nursing 220- registration will open on May 25 at 8:30. 2. Nursing 223- registration will open on May 29 at 9:30. Schedule into the same section as Nursing 220. 3. Nursing 225- registration will open on May 29 at 9:30. Select a section which matches your Nursing 220/223 class time pattern. (see below) **Sections are TEAM SPECIFIC!! NO Crossovers! 4. Pharmacology (NURS 225) is required in order to take either NURS 220 and/or NURS 223. 5. Sections will not be available for students to drop/add after August 22 at noon. 6. Students registering for NURS 220 or NURS 223 only, please email the coordinator, bdufre1@dcc.edu, unless you are repeating the course.
