Background USNORTHCOM and USEPA are collaborating in a joint interagency approach to build partnership capacity with the U.S. and Mexico Military and related civilian emergency preparedness and response communities. The intent is to strengthen these capabilities to address a broad range of catastrophic events. This collaborative interagency approach is enhancing cross agency coordination and collaboration while more efficiently leveraging limited resources to significantly enhance mutual capabilities of U.S. and Mexican military involved in emergency preparedness and response, and civilian government agencies related to those missions. This interagency partnership p method is intended to be a more unified U.S. Government (USG) approach than traditional individual Agency engagement approaches.
