Parkway West High School Naviance-Family Connections The counseling staff is pleased to introduce Family Connection from Naviance, a Web-based service designed especially for students and parents. Family Connection is a comprehensive website that you can use to help in making decisions about courses, colleges, and careers. Family Connection is linked with the Counselor's Office, a service that we use in our office to track and analyze data about college and career plans, so it provides up-to-date information that's specific to our school. http://connection.naviance.com/pkwywest What you will find on Naviance? (1) College Tracking Students can lookup information on a specific college as well as track schools of interest. (2) College Search Enter criteria such as size, location, cost, availability of specific majors or athletic programs; students can then produce a list of colleges that meet their criteria. (3) Scattergrams A graphical view of application outcomes (accepted, denied, waitlisted) at a college for recent applicants, using GPA and ACT scores. Students can gauge their chances of acceptance by comparing personal GPA/ACT numbers with those of successful applicants. (4) Acceptance History This feature shows all colleges to which Parkway West students have been accepted. (5) College Rep Visit Schedules View when college representatives will be visiting parkway West HS. (6) Transcripts You will be able to view when your transcripts/applications were sent to the colleges for which you applied. (7) Interest Inventories Take one or all of several interest inventories offered through Naviance. 3
