Executive Summary 01 The ALPFA Houston chapter continues to be focused on expanding the ALPFA brand by setting targeted goals and successfully achieving them each year. Since 2014, the Houston chapter has set goals that included membership growth, expanding the ALPFA brand in Houston by hosting quality events, and leveraging the chapter s recognition at the annual national convention. In 2015, the ALPFA Houston chapter was recognized as the Emerging Chapter of the Year. In 2016, two ALPFA Houston board members were recognized at the annual convention with the Most Promising Professional, Amanda Mendieta (Chapter Vice President), and the Women of ALPFA award, Nancy Molina (Chapter President). These recognitions positively impact local relationships with corporate partners and our membership. As part of our FY17 Houston Chapter Growth Strategy, the Board is strategically aligned to better meet growth strategies, targeted across the three areas: Growth, Corporate Partnerships, and Strategy. Through these efforts, relationships with corporate partners are a key priority. Relationships within the Houston Chapter will be collectively driven by your efforts to bring value to the Houston Chapter and our continued success in quality events.

Houston Chapter Leadership Team 10 ALPFA Houston recently held elections and the incoming president, Alex Almendarez, has been an active member of ALPFA for several years. Alex served as the President of the Texas A&M student chapter and was recognized as Student of the Year in 2013. For the past two years, Alex served as the Director of Student Affairs, and in that capacity his actively involvement, leadership and guidance to students and chapter leaders has resulted in increased presence from these student chapters at the national convention and Houston Chapter events. Based on our transition efforts and our FY17 Houston Chapter Growth Strategy, the ALPFA Houston board will be well positioned to continue to grow in 2017. The Houston board is diverse and includes representation from all four of the Big 4 (EY, KPMG, Deloitte and PwC), energy companies and local businesses. In addition, board members have financial services, energy, IT, human resources, and supply chain experience.
