Presently, there is a proposed development of 36 LIHTC units in the application stage, of which the HRA has dedicated 4 Shelter + Care units, if awarded. In addition, the HRA is working with the City of Red Wing to create an Assisted Housing Trust Fund. Another top priority is to maintain the existing HRA owned property including a $1.2 million window replacement project, in which $923,000 is being funded through Publicly Owned Housing Program (POHP) from the State of Minnesota. In addition, the HRA just completed a total modernization of the 2 elevators; 2 public restrooms and tub room making them handicap accessible. In Public Housing family housing we are working with the County to assess head of households for economic, health and qualifications to apply for additional assistance.
