There are several laws which could cause county operating cost to increase by a large amount. Each of you should contact your House of Representative and Senator to let them know how these laws will affect your county. The Legislative Study Committee is in the process of trying to get some changes made in these laws, but they need each of you working on these issues also. I think everyone will enjoy the Conference this year. The educational courses and workshops offered this year will be informative and enlightening. Cathy Hazlewood, guest speaker for Friday morning, will give us guidance on ethics. Our Conference Committee and the Educational Committee has worked hard to make this conference a huge success. It is important that you get your registration for the educational courses and the conference in as soon as possible so we can determine the number of people attending each event. I would like to encourage each of you to become involved in the organization. If you would like to serve on a committee or the board please let me know. I want to thank each of you who were involved in making this conference a success. It is wonderful to work with all of you. If I can help any of you please let me know. Sincerely, Doretta Elliott Chaplain Rob Mayer Newsletter Editor Ashley Miles Photographer Jerry Robertson Page 2
