Scholarship Management Services Dedicated to Young Achievers The George Snow Scholarship Fund is dedicated to helping deserving students within the community achieve their career goals through their pursuit of higher education. By providing financial assistance and a host of supplementary support services, we ensure that your scholarship recipients have the resources they need to thrive academically. Our philosophy is simple: By helping you help our young people achieve and prosper, our community grows stronger! Making it possible for deserving young men and women to continue their education is one of life s most rewarding experiences. It can and does change lives for the better. To do this properly requires real knowledge and expertise. With over 35 years of experience in the field of scholarship administration, the George Snow Scholarship Fund has refined the systems, policies, and procedures necessary to fully implement your existing or future scholarship program. At the same time, the George Snow Scholarship Fund realizes the importance of maintaining your charitable goals and objectives as well as maintaining the individual identity of your scholarship program. Since its inception, the Fund has awarded over 9.2 million dollars in educational grants to 1,711 local students. In the year 2017, the Scholarship Fund awarded $1,001,511.85 in commitments to 87 students. Experts in scholarship administration, the George Snow Scholarship Fund has developed a reputation for creating innovative programs that address the educational needs of those in our community.

Goals of the George Snow Scholarship Fund The goal of the George Snow Scholarship Fund is to help hard working and deserving individuals within our community achieve their educational and career goals, an objective that has the added benefit of bettering the community at large. It is our vision that no deserving student be denied a college education because of a shortage of funds. In assessing our progress toward this goal, we hold ourselves to the following standards: Short-term outcomes: 100% of scholars feel supported by the extended Scholarship Fund family to enter their freshman year 100% of scholars are able to avoid displacement of financial aid funds and maximize their financial aid award 95% of scholars complete the first year of college and enroll in the second year Long-term outcomes: 85% of scholars feel supported and motivated by the extended Scholarship Fund family 90% of scholars graduate from college 100% of scholars learn a sense of personal responsibility and are ready to enter the community as productive, hardworking, and caring citizens

Why Select the George Snow Scholarship Fund to Manage your Scholarship Program? If you are currently managing a scholarship program, you are very aware of the many administrative details involved. If you are considering implementing one in the future, you will need to be aware of the many ongoing and ever-changing issues affecting scholarships and student financial aid. The George Snow Scholarship Fund offers unmatched expertise in each of the following areas: Program Creation, Promotion, and Publicity Develop scholarship criteria Conduct workshops in high schools and community-based organizations to publicize scholarship opportunity Support students, parents, and counselors with questions regarding application process Manage application process through online application portal Fair & Unbiased Selection Process Manage, train, and oversee a Scholarship Selection Committee of at least 50 dedicated members Based on Selection Committee results, determine who will move on to the interview phase of the process Notify, schedule, and coordinate candidate interviews with interviewees and Interview Committee Conduct financial need analysis and verify tax and academic documentation Allocate scholarships based on need and criteria established by donor Notify applicants who did not score high enough to be granted an award Notify scholarship winners and issue letters of commitment Host and conduct an Annual Awards Reception where benefactors can meet their scholars and their families

Scholarship Giving Levels and Minimums Donations of any amount are needed and used to support our mission of helping students achieve their career goals through education. For individuals, families, or businesses interested in creating their own scholarship programs, we offer the following options. These minimum amounts guarantee that sufficient resources will be available to fulfill the intention of the scholarship. Annual An annual scholarship gift provides a one-time, four-year scholarship and support services to at least one student. All annual scholarships can be established with gifts of cash, securities, real estate, or personal property. Named Scholarship with Criteria - $10,000.00 The donors can choose their specific selection criteria. Scholarships are awarded in the donor s name and the donor and their family are invited to the Annual Awards Reception to meet their scholarship recipients. Donors at this level are also eligible for membership in the Loyalty Society. Named Scholarship without Criteria - $5,000.00 Students are selected according to the general selection process standards of hard work, financial needs, and a commitment to helping themselves and others. Scholarships are awarded in the donor s name and the donors and their family are invited to the Annual Awards Reception to meet their scholarship recipients. Donors at this level are also eligible for membership in the Scholars Council. Endowed Endowed scholarships exist in perpetuity and the fund is invested for long-term growth. Only a small percentage of the market value is spent each year so that the endowment and the legacy of the donor endures in the community. All endowments can be created with payments over the course of five years, and most can be established with estate or deferred gifts. Named Scholarship with Criteria - $200,000.00 The donors can choose their specific selection criteria. Scholarships are awarded in the donor s name and the donor and their family are invited to the Annual Awards Reception to meet their scholarship recipients. Donors at this level are eligible for membership in the Legacy Society. Named Scholarship without Criteria - $100,000.00 Students are selected according to the general selection process standards of hard work, financial needs, and a commitment to helping themselves and others. Scholarships are awarded in the donor s name and the donors and their family are invited to the Annual Awards Reception to meet their scholarship recipients. Donors at this level are eligible for membership in the Legacy Society.
