Compatibility Compatibility is a low cost high value concept that increases safety and enhances management practices. For example, detonators should not be stored with bulk explosives. Certain chemicals, like white phosphorus, should not be stored with other munitions, etc. Shown how to use a compatibility matrix and understand compatibility codes. 7
