We are keen to support projects that also benefit the wider University community e.g. by establishing a regular link with the host organisation or by writing a blog about your experiences. Conferences Projects that involve academic conference attendance are more likely to be funded if they can also demonstrate a wider ambition and benefit to the University of York e.g. combining a conference with a visit to a local university to liaise with research staff regarding recruitment or collaborative research work. Research Visits Applicants are warmly welcome to submit applications for research visits. We would encourage applicants to consider ways of giving a benefit to the wider University community e.g. through donating images to the York Digital Library, by giving a seminar or talk on return or by visiting a local university to build new academic connections. 3.
