Seat Usage Patterns at the Annandale Campus: Fall 2013 1 This Report presents enrollment data by section for the Annandale Campus for Fall 2013 as of June 10, 2013. These data display seat usage patterns by comparing the section cap to the seats available and number of students enrolled to the seats available. This Report aims to supply the campuses with initial information prior to the start of the semester for planning purposes. Table 1 shows the total number of seats filled at each campus compared with the total seats available. As seen in the table, the Manassas and Woodbridge Campuses are best utilizing classroom seats available at 23% of classroom seats being used. The Annandale Campus is using the smallest portion of possible seats (15%). Table 1. and Filled by Campus: Fall 2013 Campus Total Number of Filled Percentage AL 38,642 6,440 16.7% AN 66,897 10,039 15.0% LO 22,780 5,057 22.2% MA 20,250 4,727 23.3% ME 4,213 696 16.5% WO 20,664 4,685 22.7% Note: Totals exclude non-traditional sections such as (but not limited to) labs, private lessons, and hybrid courses. All ELI sections are excluded. Table 2 shows the sections at the Annandale Campus that have the largest gap between the section cap and the seats available. The section cap refers to the maximum number of students allowed to register for that particular section and the seats available is the maximum capacity in the corresponding classroom. For example, Student Development 100 (section 032N) has a section cap of 30 students in a classroom that can hold up to 122 students, leaving at least 92 chairs empty.
