Our summer reading program was so much fun this year. Having members of the community participate brought a whole new perspective. A huge thanks goes out to the Northside Military Museum staff. They had fantastic activities each week from map reading and flag folding to camouflage face painting and decoding using the phonetic alphabet. The activity portion of our summer program may be over, but the reading portion will continue throughout the month. Children can track their reading and bring in their reading log each week and receive a prize. Each time a reader reaches the goal of 750 minutes, he or she will be entered in the grand prize drawing for one of our three awesome prizes. So far, our readers have spent 28,050 minutes reading this summer! Check out an ebook from the library s OverDrive site and be entered to win a Kindle Fire. * Drawing on August 1 st. Page 4
