As the CAO, you must have the skills to lead your organization and support your council or board to carry out their vision. Are you able to articulate the value you bring to the work of your staff, your elected officials and the community you serve? Are you clear about the personal results you are looking for, the deliverables you expect and the desired behaviours essential for the success of your organization? Are you having that conversation with your elected officials? With the 2018 general local election fast approaching, consider the value in leadership development and performance coaching that will set you up for success as you prepare for working with a new Board or Council.
