That is useful advice from the past we would all do well to remember today. Speaking of today, here a few items to be aware of in the upcoming weeks Farm Science Review tickets are available for sale at the Extension office. You can pick them up for $7 at our office or $10 at the gate. Dates for Farm Science Review are September 19, 20, and 21 with gates opening at 8:00 AM. Locally, Farm City Day will be September 16. This year the committee is taking the program to an on-farm location and it will be held at McDonald s Farm and Greenhouse from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. The theme for the data is Pumpkins, Squash and Gourds, Oh My! Several activities are planned for children and it will be a wonderful family event. Beef School and Grazing Wrap-Up is an annual program at the Eastern Ag Research Station (Caldwell) and the dates for the program this year are Oct 3, 10, and 17. The program is held from 5:30 to 8:00 pm each evening. Topics including nutrition, handling facilities, calving, and forages will be covered in addition to others. Both classroom and field walks are incorporated into the program. Look for the attached registration flier for more information and to register.
