Institutional Scholarships

What is an institutional scholarship? Scholarships that are awarded by individual colleges or universities to students who plan to attend that institution. How do you find available institutional scholarships? Once you have narrowed your college or university selection to a couple of choices, request information from those schools about their available scholarships by writing an email or regular letter. You may also want to search Google for the name of the college or university along with the term scholarship. For example see what search results are available when searching for: University of Georgia Scholarships When searching for scholarships in Google or other search engines it is important to know what results are relevant and which will lead you away from finding exactly what you are looking for. How do you apply for an institutional scholarship? Each institution will have its own application process for the scholarships offered and this process will change depending on the college or university you have selected. The most important information to consider when applying to any scholarship is to understand the requirements of the scholarship application and to communicate effectively and professionally with the scholarship provider.
