Run controls on glucometer Unlock the drug room Turn on the x-ray machine Turn on heaters or attic fan Get Quest Diagnostics lab results from printer, stamp & record them Make sure the patient s bathroom is stocked Run the autoclave Patient Intake: Greet patients Perform vitals Double-check the reason for the visit Perform any in-house tests that might be helpful (e.g. a U/A for a suspected bladder infection, a glucometer check before a diabetes consult, a pregnancy test for amenorrhea, etc. Check the chart for bloodwork results or other diagnostic tests that might have been performed.
