National Administrative Council-Mike Livergood 1:06pm i. Committee consists of AD and commissioners ii. Pre-Authorization form was removed for championship events iii. Basketball was changed to one division iv. Soccer is going to change to a 46 teams. 15 opening rounds d. Datalys Injury Surveillance-Dr. Christy Collins 1:13pm i. Evidence based decision making supports rule changes ii. Pilot with NAIA schools- to participate-1 2 sport a season needed iii. 20 extra minutes per week per sport- not a huge time commitment iv. Compatible systems a. ATS, Sportsware, Viviture etc. b. Goal-1 school per conference-21 schools (Get conference level reps to help communicate) c. Mandatory Day off Policy-Update on future legislation iii. Was withdrawn based on language but the idea was well received a. Reasons for the Withdrawal-Language concerning topics such as travel and weather iv. Football Preseason Practice Limitation Legislation a. Voted on and passed on April effective this fall b. Before 1 st competition or school starts c. Does NOT eliminate 2 practice/day d. It is based on an hour limit-4 hours in a day to practice e. What happens if there is a violation? a. Self-Reported consequences i. Anyone can self-report f. When does the 4 hours start (start of warm-up) g. Once the 3 hours start, the team cannot walk off the field and then go to weights. 3 hours break after being on the field f. Scholarship and Awards- Michael Nolan i. Refer to the above point g. Paperwork that you send in will be going to a more appropriate place- based on HIPAA NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF INTERCOLLEGIATE ATHLETICS 2

Medical exemption forms- 46 requests and 31 were approved a. Form was removed starting immediately b. Consent to drug test form will be filled out every year (Stays at school) Certificate of verification does need to be taken to championship events i. NATA Liaison Report i. Positions will be reorganized to be going thru ICSM and Murphy Grant j. Professional Resource and Education Committee-Tom 1:42pm i. Lightning policy ii.
