SAINT JOHN S NEXT TOP MODEL Rules & Regulations General Information Saint John s Next Top Model will be held in the atrium of Market Square for six weeks, every Sunday beginning March 12 th 2017 at 1pm through to the finale on April 23 rd 2017 (no competition will be held on April 16 th 2017). Section 1: Eligibility Saint John s Next Top Model is open to all females 13 to 25 years of age; experience is not mandatory. Participants must be willing to have their photographs displayed in the Market Square Atrium as well as on various websites and social media outlets for the duration of the competition. You will work with professionals in style, runway, photography and speaking. The coaches and judges will be a wonderful guide, but they are not miracle workers. They can only help you dig deep and uncover what is already there; your inner beauty, so it may shine as a beacon for other young women. Applicants must be willing to compete each and every week in the weekly challenge in order to participate. *we reserve the right to adjust, add challenges throughout the competition All applicants must commit to maintaining a positive and respectful attitude throughout the competition. All items used for challenges (clothing, shoes, etc.) are graciously loaned from participating Market Square retailers, all items must be returned in exemplary condition, otherwise the participant will be required to reimburse the retailer. All applicants must attach a current head shot/photograph with the application; this picture will not be returned. Section 2: The Process All participants must register on March 12th 2017 at 11:30am. You must be at the information desk in Market Square; all applicants will compete on the main stage located at Market Square following registration. All applicants are expected to wear an outfit to walk the runway, and bring an alternate outfit to change in to that captures
your personal style. The competition will take place every Sunday at 1pm with the end date of April 23 rd 2017, with the exception of April 16 th 2017. Order of performance will be random; judges will assess the applicants and all successful applicants have to be available every week; there will be no weekly eliminations. As a finalist, you must be available to have your professional headshot taken at Photography Flewwelling on March 14 th or 15 th ; time to be determined. Applicants must commit to all challenges, and be in the Model Lounge at 11:30am sharp on all 6 consecutive Sundays (with the exception of April 16 th ). Points will be given by judges and the audience will supplement judge s points through online voting via a nonpartisan webmaster. Each judge is a professional within the modeling and fashion industry in Saint John. Section 3: Disqualification We reserve the right to disqualify or exclude at our sole and absolute discretion, (inclement weather is not an acceptable excuse for not attending any part of the competition) any individual from any of the challenges for any reason. We reserve the right to change the procedures at any time. All contestants are to remain in the competition until the finale unless otherwise notified. Section 4: General Conditions By participating entrants agree to be bound by these rules and the decisions of the radio station the voting audience, and the panel of judges which shall be final and binding. We reserve the right to use the auditioning process for publicity purposes and to use the names and likeness of entrants as part of the publicity, without compensation. Section 5: Prizing There will be a prize awarded weekly for the duration of the competition; the challenge winners will be announced on 97.3 The Wave every Monday, starting March 13 th.
