I was responsible for hiring consultants and recruited and contracted with the Virginia Center for Policing Innovation. I am working with JSU Administration to implement VCPI recommendations. This is an on-going project. Served on a study group for the President Pro Tempore of the Alabama Senate to make recommendations for reorganizing Alabama State Law Enforcement. I was the only academic representative in the group. Recommendations were submitted by the group at the end of the 2012 legislative session. Governor Robert Bentley signed legislation implementing most of the recommendations in the 2013 session. Professional Development Elected the Second Vice President of the International Society of Crime Prevention Practitioners, 2014-2016. Continuing Education class on Supervising the Toxic Officer directed by the Public Agency Training Council, 2014.

Trained Dalton State College Arts and Science Faculty on use of distance learning and classroom technology in 1999. Participated in 2-day workshop on using Web-CT software, which is designed for the development of web-based college courses in July 1999. Participated in 3-day workshop on new classroom technology sponsored by the University System of Georgia in May of 1999. Participated in 3-day workshop sponsored by the University System of Georgia to introduce the use of "video streaming" technology via the internet to deliver courses to non-traditional students in January of 1999. Participated in a two week University of Georgia System Faculty Development Workshop entitled "Connecting Teachers and Technology" in the summer of 1997. The workshop was an intensive and hands on program that allowed faculty members to train with the latest computer and classroom related technology.
