As part of our commitment to provide high-quality care regardless of a patient s ability to pay, IU provided more than $67 million in free or reduced-cost healthcare to qualified patients. IU trained and continues to train the new generation of healthcare professionals, engaged thousands of clinical trials researching leading-edge medicine and breakthrough treatments and partnered with hundreds of community organizations to bring health and wellness education to people throughout the state. Indiana University Arnett Hospital in Lafayette, Ind., is a full-service hospital that includes an adjacent outpatient surgery center and medical office building. With six technologically advanced surgical suites, IU Arnett Hospital can accommodate complex surgeries, such as open heart, neurosurgical procedures and minimally invasive davinci surgery. IU Arnett achieved Magnet status in 206. We ve introduced healthcare to underserved populations and geographic areas such as Jay County, New Castle and Hartford City and given consumers choices in their healthcare. IU Ball Memorial Hospital is the largest non-government employer in East Central Indiana, employing nearly 2,500 people with a payroll exceeding $0 million. This not-for-profit organization boasts a clinical staff of more than 400 physicians, representing more than 45 medical specialties, and is ranked a top hospital in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. ACADEMIC HEALTH CENTER The Indiana University Adult and Pediatric Academic Center is comprised of IU Methodist Hospital, IU University Hospital, IU Saxony Hospital, IU Morgan and Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University. As national and regional healthcare leaders, the staff strives to improve the health of our patients and community through innovation and excellence in care, education, research and service. In 205, IU hospitals completed the the Days of Service activities and will provide a free vulnerable and at-risk populations. We tracked the community health needs assessments.
