GENERAL MANAGER MESSAGE First, a very special Thank You to the viewers who became part of the WyomingPBS family for the first time and to the Members who renewed their Membership during our March fundraiser. The Meet and Greet opportunities were especially popular, and we ll continue to look for special events like this for our members. We continued with our December experiment of reducing the number of days we pledged from a high of 19 to 15. However, as in December, fewer days meant fewer dollars. You ll hear more about that as we get close to the end of the Fiscal Year. The online Our Wyoming initiative continues to be popular, with our February features gathering over 30,000 views. In April, you ll hear the story of how Chugwater got its name and meet some sharpshooting Muzzle Loaders. You can watch all our features at wyomingpbs.org/ourwyoming, facebook.com/ wyomingpbs, or youtube.com/wyomingpbs. We continue to add resources for teachers to the WyomingPBS Learning Media Library (wyomingpbs.org/ learningmedia.) Lesson plans for 3rd and 4th grade STEM standards, tied to a segment from Over Wyoming are now available. We ve also added three Learning Objects and lesson plans for 3rd through 8th grade taken from Storm of the Century: The Blizzard of 49. We hope you found this season s Capitol Outlook valuable. Even though the session is over, we continue to work on important Legislative coverage. We re planning to carry multiple debates covering the races for Wyoming Governor, US Representative, and US Senate. The first of these could take place as early as June. Thank you for watching WyomingPBS, both over the air and on-line, and thank you for being part of our family. WYOMINGPBS STAFF Terry Dugas General Manager Lonny Fairfield Chief Technology Officer Kyle Nicholoff Production Manager Jennifer Amend Director of Marketing and Outreach/Program Guide Editor WYOMINGPBS FOUNDATION STAFF Joanna Kail Executive Director Brianne Hendricks Administrative Assistant Kathy Stilson Membership Coordinator The WyomingPBS program guide is published monthly by WyomingPBS, 2660 Peck Ave., Riverton, WY 82501 and mailed to those who contribute $50 ($25 senior rate) or more annually to WyomingPBS. Under IRS guidelines, the estimated value of this program guide is not substantial, therefore, if this is the only thank you gift received by the contributor, the full amount of the gift is tax deductible. Donations which are eligible for other thank you gifts are tax deductible, less the reasonable cost of the gift. WyomingPBS is licensed to Central Wyoming College, and complies with all state and federal laws. WyomingPBS Education Services The WyomingPBS Education Collection on PBS LearningMedia contains resources and lessons for educators. All of the resources in the collection are created by Wyoming educators and are aligned to state and national standards. These resources are developed around WyomingPBS documentaries and programming. Topics include Native American Studies, History and STEM topics. The newest resources are based on the WyomingPBS documentaries Storm of the Century: The Blizzard of 49 and Over Wyoming. Through these lessons students will learn about the worst series of storms in Wyoming s history and teach students about land formation, fossils, and erosions. The entire collection can be accessed at wyomingpbs.org/learningmedia. For more information about WyomingPBS LearningMedia or to schedule a training on the modules, contact Carol Garber at carol@wyomingpbs.org. BE MORE...AMAZED 13
