THE RADIANT AWARDS Innovation & Vision in Identity Systems APSCA s 2nd Radiant Awards will be presented at the reception dinner for the 5th Border Management & Identity Conference (5th BMIC) in Bangkok on 12 December 2018. - Attended by government identity authorities from around the world - Awards submissions from governments agencies and identity experts - Judges with core expertise in border and identity management systems - A unique channel to communicate and engage with government - Promotional opportunities in a social and business environment APSCA designed the Radiant Awards to reward end-user organisations that operate public sector identity schemes together with their partners that provide supporting technologies, solutions and integration. The Radiant Awards comprise several awards that recognize vision, creativity, thought leadership, technology innovation, implementation best practices in service delivery or citizens and residents. APSCA s 1st Radiant Awards in 2015 received a total of 26 entries from 19 identity authorities in Asia, Europe, Africa or in the Americas. Following judging and evaluation by a panel of independent identity experts, 13 Radiant Awards were presented to the winning government authorities and their solutions provider partners from Aruba, Bhutan, Botswana, China, Estonia, Hong Kong, Macao, Malaysia, Nigeria, Sri Lanka and Qatar. Unique Industry Awards The Radiant Awards recognise excellence in planning, design, implementation and operation of national electronic identity schemes, applications and services. These unique industry awards are designed to reward end-user organisations that operate public sector identity schemes together with their partners that provide supporting smart technology and identity solutions. 9 Awards in 4 Categories The Radiant Awards comprise up to 9 awards in 4 categories that recognise vision, creativity, thought leadership, technology innovation, implementation best practices and service delivery for citizens and residents. FOCUS ON END-USERS AND TECHNOLOGY PROVIDERS Entry forms for the Radiant Award evaluation process can be submitted by either of the following: 1- NOMINEE 2 - NOMINATING ORGANISATION that is an end-user organisation that operates an electronic identity scheme for, or provides electronic identity services to, citizens or residents (including identity solutions providers) that wishes to propose a nominee that is an end-user organisation that operates an electronic identity scheme for, or provides electronic identity services to citizens or residents. A key objective of the Radiant Awards is to focus on end-user customers, that are typically government identity authorities, as well as their technology providers, in rewarding visionary applications of identity solutions to solve real-world problems. Expert Judges Entry submissions will be evaluated by a panel of judges with core competencies and experience working in identity schemes and applications, led by the Chairman of APSCA. Awards Ceremony The 2nd Radiant Awards ceremony will be held at the reception dinner for the 5th Border Management & Identity Conference (5th BMIC) in Bangkok on 12 December 2018 at which all shortlisted entries will be acknowledged. The awards ceremony will be attended by representatives of nominee end-user organisations, nominating organisations, government identity authorities and leading identity solutions providers. Presentation and Acceptance of Radiant Awards Radiant Awards will be accepted by the government agency (nominee) that implemented the electronic identity scheme together with their key identity solutions providers (nominating organisations). If the nominee is not present at the Radiant Awards Ceremony then the award can be accepted on their behalf by either a nominating organisation or any other organisation assigned by the nominee. Promote your Achievements in Electronic Identity Schemes As the Radiant Awards are designed to focus on organisations providing identity services to citizens and consumers, APSCA will promote the awards to our database of government agencies and identity solutions providers around the world. Government agencies [nominees] will be invited to complete entries submitting their electronic identity schemes for consideration. Identity solutions providers [nominating organisations] are invited to complete entries nominating their customers for Radiant Award entries. Pg2

CHOOSE YOUR RADIANT AWARD CATEGORY There are 4 categories of Radiant Awards and 3 of the 4 categories have more than one award available. Entrants for the Radiant Awards should choose the primary category in which they wish to enter their submission but the same entry can also be entered for consideration in a secondary category. So the same identity scheme can be submitted for consideration in 2 different categories. RADIANT VISION AWARD (1 Award) The Radiant Vision Award recognises forward thinking ideas that have led to significant innovations in how electronic identity schemes are planned, designed, developed or deployed. RADIANT SERVICE AWARD (2 Awards) The Radiant Service Award is for a public sector electronic identity scheme that has consistently delivered exemplary services to citizens and residents over a period of at least 5 years. Up to two awards are available. RADIANT LAUNCH AWARD (4 Awards) The Radiant Launch Awards are for the 4 most significant deployments (excluding pilots) of public sector identity schemes, applications or services in the last 18 months. Up to four awards are available depending upon the quality of submissions. RADIANT PIONEER AWARD (2 Awards) 1 The Radiant Pioneer Award recognises pioneering new uses or applications of smart technology in public sector identity schemes. The technology may or may not be newly developed. Up to two awards are available.
