STANFORD s Elizabeth Price was named the Gymnast of the Week, UTAH s Baely Rowe was voted Specialist of the Week, and UCLA s Katelyn Ohashi was named the Freshman/Newcomer of the Week. Stanford sophomore Elizabeth Price earned Gymnast of the Week honors for the third week in a row for her contributions to the Cardinal s season-best score of 196.675 in their win over No. 21 California and San Jose State. Price won the all-around for the third consecutive week, posting top-three finishes in three individual events and winning both the vault and the bars with a 9.925 on each. She scored Stanford s highest score on the vault, bars, and floor for the second week in a row and has now recorded nine individual event victories this season. Price has scored 9.825 or higher in eleven of twelve individual event performances this season. Her 39.492 all-around average has her ranked second in the nation in the all-around so far this season. In her freshman season, Price was named the 2015 Pac-12 Specialist of the Year and won an NCAA individual championship on the vault. Utah junior Baely Rowe earned Specialist of the Week honors for her performance in the Red Rocks win over No. 15 Oregon State. Rowe s career-best 9.95 bar routine took first place in the meet. She finished second on the beam with a season-best 9.90. Both of her routines came at critical moments for Utah as they attempted to seal the meet. Her winning bar routine came after a teammate had hit her foot on the bar, and her beam routine came after a near-fall. UCLA freshman Katelyn Ohashi earned Freshman/Newcomer of the Week honors for the second week in a row for her performance in the Bruins 196.800-196.475 win at No. 20 Arizona Ohashi gave a courageous performance on beam, repeating her routine after an equipment malfunction. She had been on her way to a high score when the cap of the beam came off while she was dismounting. Ohashi took a hard fall, landing on her neck, but got up and was evaluated by the Arizona medical staff and the UCLA athletic training staff before being cleared to repeat her routine after the Bruins rotation was finished. The freshman got back on the beam and hit her routine, including the same double pike dismount, scoring a season-best 9.825. Prior to the beam mishap, Ohashi had set a new career-high on bars with a 9.925 to place first, added another career-best on vault with a 9.775 leadoff vault, and tied her career-high on floor with a 9.85.
