spa services The following spa services are offered through independent, licensed therapists for the comfort of our guests. Please ask your physician or nurse practitioner for approval before scheduling an appointment. Approval slips can be found inside the back cover of this guide. Therapeutic Massage is designed to reduce tension and to promote healing through the systematic manipulation of the body s soft tissue. 1 hour session, $75 ½ hour session, $45 Reflexology is the application of pressure, stretch and movement to the feet and hands to break up patterns of stress and encourage relaxation in other parts of the body. 1 hour session, $75 ½ hour session, $45 Reiki transmits healing energy through the hands of the therapist to the client. Reiki encourages stress reduction and relaxation. 45 minute session, $55 Available 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm, daily (Pending availability) To schedule an appointment, the patient or family member should contact one of the therapists listed on the reverse side of this sheet. The patient must receive physician or nurse practitioner approval prior to scheduling an appointment. SPA Services Medical Approval Slip guest satisfaction How are we doing? At NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases we strive to provide quality medical care in an environment of comfort and safety. Your stay with us is very important. If you have had a positive experience or have suggestions for improvement, please let us know through the following methods. Early on in your stay, you will be visited by a member of our Ready Resolve team. The Ready Resolve team is made up of staff members committed to improving our guests stay at the hospital through feedback, follow-up, and immediate response to any areas of concern. As our guest, you know the areas where we are performing well and the areas that need improvement. We depend upon our patients to keep us informed. Approximately two weeks following your stay at NYUHJD, you will receive a survey in the mail.
