Loudoun informs Girl Scouts and their leaders of opportunities that are available in Loudoun, Fauquier, and Northern Prince William counties. Many of these opportunities come from within Associations 70 and 90. However, there may be opportunities available by outside vendors and may require Council approval. GSCNC has not inspected these programs or vendors and there are no GSCNC representatives at these events. Purpose: The panel ensures that Girl Scouts are able to participate in troop activities- no matter their financial situation. Job: As a panel, review Program Grant and Troop Loan applications. Time Commitment: Two hours a month. Location: Meetings are held via Conference Call most months, with 4 in-person meetings a year at the DC Council Office. Date/Time: Third Monday of each month from 7:00 PM 8:30 PM. A light dinner is provided during in-person meetings. Page 6 Volunteers Get Away at Camp Getaway Association 70 Join your fellow volunteers at Camp White Rock July 19-21 for a relaxing weekend of adult camping. Activities include swimming, canoeing, archery, yoga, and more. Sit by the river, hang out in the pool, and learn new skills. This event is open to all administrative volunteers: Service Unit Managers, Service Unit Team members, Association Chairs, Educators, Recognition Chairs, REACH volunteers, Day Camp Directors, Council Committees and Task Forces, And other volunteers Materials for the entire weekend are included in the $25 registration fee. During registration you will be asked to select your arrival time and accommodations. Closer to the event weekend you'll receive more detailed information including the weekend agenda, packing list, and directions.
