1. Dates Wednesday, November 9, 2011 Thursday, November 10, 2011 Friday, November 11, 2011 2. Registration Cost & Early Bird Cutoff Date The registration fee for this year s conference is $200.00. Early bird cut off October 15, 2011. This year we have included two lunches in the registration price along with free continental breakfasts and the Thursday night dinner. The hotel also has a very competitive room rate of $109.79 plus tax per night. The low room rate and the included lunches makes this conference very competitive if not less expensive than past year s conferences 3. The hotel is 25 miles from Ronald Reagan Airport, Arlington, VA and 22 miles from Baltimore-Washington, International (BWI), Baltimore, MD. 5. Attractions Washington DC is 18 miles from the hotel, and Annapolis, MD is only 20 miles. Annapolis is a beautiful seacoast town with lots to see and do. The Naval Academy, at Annapolis, has a museum and it is an interesting place to visit. National Harbor, 20 miles from the hotel www.nationalharbor.com, is located on 300 acres of prime real estate along the scenic Potomac River in Prince George's County, MD, National Harbor is the new gateway to the National Capital Region. 6. Transportation The hotel does not offer any transportation services from the airports. BWI Airport Taxi Cabs operate twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. ID yourself as with Kennedy's Disease Association and give her the flight number, date and time of arrival. Also advise if you will need a vehicle that can accommodate a wheelchair or scooter. 3. The driver and/or the dispatchers will assist in any way necessary. 4. They will have signs to direct them to the waiting taxi. 5. The passengers may make arrangements with their drivers to return for them. This would be a special circumstance as the drivers are "Outbound Only". Bowie is approximately 22.3 miles from Baltimore-Washington International (BWI). The estimated fare is approximately $60.00. If there is more than one traveling together, the fare is still the same. Silent Auction This year, as always, during the dinner on Thursday night the KDA will sponsor a Silent Auction. Thanks to the generosity of the attendees this has been a very successful fund raiser for the KDA. Plus it is a lot of fun. Please bring items for the auction that you feel people would be like to bid on. We are never really sure what people will bid on so we rely on your imagination to bring the items you think will sell. 8.
