FRIDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL SPECTATOR INFO We would like to inform families that the ticket booth will be located at Rick s Place (concessions stand). Here are some helpful tips to ensure an enjoyable night of Wayland sports: HANDICAP PARKING - All handicap parking will be reserved near the varsity baseball field parking lot (towards the back near the field house). This lot is reserved for handicap, officials and police parking only. Signs will direct you to this lot. SPECTATOR ENTRANCE All spectators will be asked to enter the event through the service road entrance near the field house. (Also near the handicap parking lot) SPECTATOR PARKING All spectators may park in any lined parking space located on the school campus (Wayland Town Pool lot, front of school lot and field house lot.) Handicap parking lot will be reserved for cars with a handicap license or tag on their car.

4 [Type the document title] TICKET BOOTH The ticket booth location for the Millis-Hopedale game will be in the field house garage located at the bottom of the service road entrance (near the field house). Tickets will prices will be $5 for students/senior citizens and $7 for adults. (Students enrolled in 6 th grade and higher are considered students ) AVOID We ask all spectators to avoid parking their vehicles along the bus/car lane curb. We must allow room for emergency vehicles to enter the campus without any impedance. The safety of our athletes depends on the travel efficiency of our Town of Wayland emergency health staff to aid them is cases of emergency. WAYLAND COMMUNITY FALL FESTIVAL On Saturday, October 13 th, SADD is hosting a community-wide Fall Festival on the high school softball field from 11-4. The purpose of this event is to bring the whole community together for a fun-filled day while spreading the message of SADD to Wayland. There will be donut-eating contests, pumpkin painting, music, and many other activities for all ages. One of our main attractions is a dunk tank, so we are searching for teachers from all Wayland schools to volunteer to sit in the dunk tank for a few minutes. We would appreciate all the volunteers we can get! Please email Isabel Schwartz or Jaimie Forti (isabel_schwartz@student.wayland.k12.ma.us or jaimie_forti@student.wayla nd.k12.ma.us) if you would like to be in the dunk tank, or if you have any other questions! TEAMS Golf WAYLAND GOLF DEEP AND TALENTED STORY BY RICK SMITH -WAYLAND TOWN CRIER The Wayland golf team entered the week with a 3-2 record after playing an entire away slate up to that point. The Warriors were scheduled to play their first home match of the season Wednesday against Bedford at the Sandy Burr Country Club. Second-year coach T.J. Anthoine entered the season fully expecting his team to be in the thick of things for Dual County League Small Division honors. Weston, for sure, will be one of the teams to beat in the DCL Small, Anthoine said. Concord-Carlisle is pretty deep. I expect the three of us to separate ourselves from the rest of the teams in the DCL Small.

The Warriors appear to be a deep squad with numbers one through four almost reversible on any given day. Senior captain Yannick Schaefer is Wayland s number one for all intents and purposes. Yannick is our leader, our true captain, said Anthoine. He s very good about helping out the younger guys. Senior Christian Eng is another captain. Christian is as steady as it gets, said his coach. He hits it down the middle and then he makes putts. The third captain is a junior, James Jurist. James is also very consistent, said Anthoine. He s also our fiercest competitor. Nick Morgan is a talented sophomore. He is the most talented player we have on the team, said Anthoine. He scores a lot of points for us and gets a lot of birdies. Sophomore Dylan Mordas will be counted on to give the Warriors even more depth. Dylan is a huge surprise, said Anthoine. He s only been playing golf for two years and he s already made the varsity. Anthoine has a big roster and thinks that will pay dividends. We expanded the roster to 15, he said. It s been great. Guys are putting it on the line in practice to try and earn a spot. It ll help us to have a big team. Junior Charlie Cope and sophomores Spencer Henley and Nick Barber should be in contention for a scoring slot on the team. We have some good depth, said Anthoine. We have a pretty frontloaded one through four. It s pretty nice to potentially have four number ones and a consistent second four. The two losses the Warriors had coming into this week came at the hands of DCL Large opponents Westford Academy and Acton- Boxborough. We came out of the gate a little slow, said Anthoine. We lost to some of the bigger schools in the league. We were really looking forward to Bedford coming into our place.
