CREation CREation Early Career Property Network

VISION PURPOSE CREated by young professionals for young professionals CREate an inclusive Commercial Real Estate network for those starting their career Although there are numerous organisations connecting property professionals and hosting events, these are failing to provide for our industry s younger generation Provide graduates, newly qualified, apprentices and final year/masters students the Early Careers in Real Estate - with opportunities to broaden their knowledge on current affairs, ensuring that wider industry knowledge is accessible to everyone, no matter what their level Through interactive events, innovative speakers and networking opportunities we will ensure talent is nurtured from the beginning of each and every individual s career Why? Membership costs and events are too expensive for those in their early career Companies are typically unable to facilitate membership or attendance of events by these organisations for individuals in their early career No forum to integrate individuals in their early career from other companies nor to encourage them to build their own network of contacts Open up innovative speakers and topics discussed at other leading events to the Early Careers, improving engagement and encouraging innovation amongst staff CREate equal opportunity for networking no matter the individual s background, company or university CONNECTION & INNOVATION

GOALS Run Hot Topic interactive property events at least every quarter followed by networking sessions Events geared at encouraging active participation and engagement Showcasing exciting and innovative topics discussed at other leading events such as MIPIM, London First, MAPIC etc. Free entrance for Early Careers Two additional informal social events including: End of Year Property Quiz and Summer Party Suggestion platform for additional topical events ensuring we are providing something of interest to the wider industry Initial London focus, but open to anyone willing to travel

DIFFERENTIATION TESTIMONIALS A social offer Provides a support network Delivers continuous programme of interactive and free events CREation will address a prominent flaw in the property industry framework a lack of interaction between those in their early careers, regardless of their University and Company background. CREation will unequivocally address this, by overcoming obstacles such as the expense often attached to networking events and the inequality in opportunities to interact with other young professionals in property. Not only will the individuals directly involved in the scheme experience an early career boost, there are many rewards to be reaped by the property industry as a whole. The increased communication CREated by the scheme presents a significant opportunity to better the industry through increased collaboration and innovation. Olivia Rigby Graduate Surveyor, Cushman & Wakefield A forum to discuss current Hot Topics CREation Integrates apprentices, graduates, surveyors and students I think CREation is a great idea, I don t think you get much of a chance to meet other grad s, people your own age from different property companies. Most meetings I ve attended there are always more senior level guys and that s more or less the only interaction you get from outside your workspace. I think it would be beneficial on a number of levels to have a group where you can actually meet people who are doing what you re doing and going through the learning process that you are to ask questions and start building up your network of contacts for later life. Alex Hodge Assistant Surveyor, Lambert Smith Hampton CREates opportunities for all A company neutral committee As an apprentice it can be hard to network with other young professionals as many people are not aware of what our training entails and some events can be graduate exclusive, which is why I am very supportive of CREation. As a young professional, having an organisation that hosts events where I can meet like-minded individuals and key players in the industry is invaluable. I am keen to join a network which provides updates on current affairs and new technology as this will be fundamental for personal development. Laura Pell Apprentice, Cushman & Wakefield CREates a sense of community At the present moment many property and construction newcomers are being bombarded with a huge influx of information from a wide range of sources, (Linkedin, RICS etc ) at an early stage in their career. A platform such as CREation would help to simplify the process of promoting and enhancing an individual s professional profile in a much more condensed and manageable manner. CREation would provide a one-stop-shop of resources, networking opportunities and event listings to make what is a large and what can at times seem like a difficult sector to navigate more transparent and accessible. I believe that if CREation were to be a success in London, there is no reason why its features could not be rolled out nationally. Ross Curtis Graduate Quantity Surveyor, Cushman & Wakefield

TARGET MARKET MARKETING We aim to support all individuals starting their career in Real Estate Target the new generation using social media platforms Word-of-mouth Early Careers Target Early Careers, via HR networks Website with events, news and online sign up App available to download Company neutral Graduates Apprentices Real Estate related degree students (final year undergraduate/masters) Sponsor companies are to actively encourage Early Careers to attend events Sponsor companies to embed link to CREation website Newly qualified (within 12 months of qualification) Surveyors/Planners/Developers CONNECTION & INNOVATION

POTENTIAL EVENTS PROPTECH Technology is making waves within the property industry. There is a rise of new and innovative PropTech companies transforming and disrupting the way occupiers and investors view their real estate. This threatens companies that lag behind but provides a wealth of opportunity for forward thinking individuals. Join us for an interactive session on the most cutting edge technology. BREXIT Brexit is coming and the impact of this important decision on CRE is still uncertain. What will this mean for those just starting out their careers and how will the future of commercial property in the UK look? Industry professionals discuss the impact on the property sector and how they see it impacting on them and then ultimately us. EMERGING MARKETS A huge draw with a corporate global company for a lot of Millennials is the flexibility and opportunity to travel, whether it be moving to a large City such as London or abroad. We are more curious than previous generations to really understand what the world has to offer. What are the drivers behind the emerging markets, how are they developing and what is the potential within these countries for future career development? Market leaders discuss. INNOVATION STATION Work place innovation and flexible working is of increasing importance for the corporate occupier. WeWork and Second Home are successfully demonstrating this. It is important that we understand the market, what the strengths are and what is driving companies and employees into incorporating this into their work day. Take a look at some of the hottest flexible work space providers and discuss their strengths and challenges.
