Specificatins are nt intended t reflect all duties perfrmed within the jb and/r department. DEFINITION Airprt Operatins Technician I This is an entry level psitin t assist in a variety f maintenance n airfield and landside systems t include lighting systems, navigatinal systems, and water and sewer systems. This psitin will als entail prviding maintenance f large and small equipment, facilities, and grunds using a variety f basic manual labr skills which will include, but nt limited t; mwing grass and snw remval. Airprt Operatins Technician II This psitin requires full familiarizatin and certificatins as required by Federal Aviatin Administratin (FAA) within the Airprt Certificatin Manual (ACM) which includes Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) certificatin, and Federal Aviatin Regulatins (FAR) Part 139 Certificatin. This psitin als requires full familiarizatin with the airprt s Airprt Security Prgram (ASP) as required by the Transprtatin Security Administratin (TSA) which includes Airprt Security Crdinatr Assistant (ASCA) and Designated Ramp Observer (DRO) certificatins. Airprt Operatins Officer This psitin requires all certificatins as required in the Airprt Operatins Technician II, plus any ne f the fllwing accredited certificatins administered by the American Assciatin f Airprt Executives (AAAE): (1) Airprt Certified Emplyee (ACE), (2) Certified Airprt Fire Fighter I, r (3) Certified Member (CM). Als, this psitin requires the training f all certified persnnel, the recrdkeeping f all persnnel training recrds, and recrdkeeping and cmpliance f all FAA Safety Inspectins. SUPERVISION EXERCISED AND RECEIVED Airprt Operatins Technician I This psitin exercises n supervisin and reprts t the Airprt Executive Directr as well as receiving general supervisin frm the Airprt Operatins Officer. This psitin may exercise technical supervisin ver assigned staff such as, inmates and seasnal staff. Airprt Operatins Technician II This psitin may exercise supervisin ver assigned staff such as inmates, seasnal staff, and in the absence f the Airprt Operatins Officer ver Airprt Operatins Technician I(s). This psitin reprts t the Airprt Executive Directr while receiving general directin frm the Airprt Operatins Officer. Airprt Operatins Officer

This psitin will exercise technical supervisin ver assigned staff such as inmates, seasnal staff, Airprt Operatins Technicians I and II. This psitin receives general directin frm and reprts t the Airprt Executive Directr. EXAMPLES OF IMPORTANT AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES Airprt Operatins Technician I Imprtant and essential duties may include, but are nt limited t, the fllwing: 1. Assist with a variety f general duties including replacing light bulbs t airprt facilities, and airfield lighting systems. 2. Operate a variety f basic hand and/r pwer tls. 3. Prvide lawn and grunds maintenance, mw, fertilize, maintain, and trim shrubs and trees; assist with draining and winterizing f sprinkler systems. 4. Assist with snw remval which may include plwing, hand shveling and dispersing ice melting cmpunds as needed. 5. Perfrm maintenance checks f all pwer equipment t include filters, fuel, lubricatin, and tractin; fllw assigned preventive maintenance schedule. 6. Assist temprary and seasnal emplyees in the peratin f pwer equipment. 7. Adhere t safe wrk practices and prcedures. 8. Attend and participate in staff meetings, safety meetings, and related activities, attend wrkshps, cnferences, and classes t increase knwledge, serve n cmmittees as assigned. 9. Participate in initial and nging training as required by the FAA and TSA. 10. Prepare fr certificatins required by the FAA and TSA. 11. Prepare fr CDL. OTHER JOB RELATED DUTIES 1. Perfrm related duties and respnsibilities as required. Airprt Operatins Technician II Imprtant and essential duties may include, but are nt limited t, the fllwing: 1. On-call, as necessary, t serve as first respnder fr aircraft rescue and firefighting duties; perfrm emergency peratin prcedures in accrdance with the Airprt Certificatin Manual's emergency plan; wrk clsely with lcal Sheriff and Fire Department t crdinate emergency peratins. 2. Perfrm preventive maintenance as required t maintain mechanical, electrical, HVAC, cmmunicatins and special systems r equipment; check and mnitr systems n a regular schedule. 3. Maintain and perate heavy and light equipment and machinery; perfrm preventive maintenance as required; inspect, diagnse, lcate and repair mechanical prblems n a variety f heavy and light equipment and machinery. 4. Maintain airprt lighting systems; ensure lighting systems are wrking at all times and if unable t repair system, reprt prblems t Airprt Operatins Officer; n-call, as necessary, t repair and maintain airprt lighting systems. 5. Maintain airprt water/sewer system; ensure airprt water/sewer system is wrking at all times; perfrm basic maintenance and repairs n system, reprt prblems r cncerns t Airprt Operatins Officer; ncall, as necessary, t repair and maintain water/sewer system. 6. Perfrm snw remval accrding t Airprt Certificatin Manual's Snw and Ice Cntrl Plan. 7. Prvide lawn and grunds maintenance fr bth airside and landside t include mwing, sprinkler system maintenance, shrubs and trees maintenance and fertilizing. 8. Perfrm fuel farm inspectins accrding t Airprt Certificatin Manual; cmplete apprpriate paperwrk; reprt prblems t Airprt Operatins Officer. 9. Ensure the maintenance and repair airprt water/sewer system; ensure airprt water/sewer system is wrking at all times; n-call, as necessary, t repair and maintain water/sewer system; ensure system meets acceptable water quality standards; ensure water/sewer system meets all lcal, state and federal requirements. 7. Crdinate r perfrm snw remval accrding t Airprt Certificatin Manual's Snw and Ice Cntrl Plan. 8. Wrk clsely with state and federal agencies t ensure cmpliance with all federal aviatin regulatins and Airprt Certificatin Manual per part 139 f the Federal Aviatin Regulatins; wrk clsely with Federal Aviatin Administratin (FAA) Airprt Safety Certificatin Inspectr t ensure airprt annual review is in full cmpliance. 9. Supervise lawn, grunds and sprinkler systems maintenance fr bth airside and landside. 10. Develp and manage facility peratins and custdial schedules, activities and services. 11. Recmmend plans, specificatins, and cst estimate fr facility maintenance, repair alteratins, and cnstructin activities; supervise r mnitr cnstructin wrk as required; ensure cntract and prject cmpliance accrding t assigned standards; if required assist in cmpleting dcumentatin and paperwrk fr cnstructin prjects. 12.
