Surface FAST Process Objective: Develop executable availability schedules to improve port loading for the nine surface ship Regional Maintenance Centers (FDRMC, HRMC, MARMC, SERMC, SWRMC, NWRMC, SRF/JRMC) so that lost operational days (LOD) are minimized. Conducted twice per year during POM and DON budget cycles with formal outbrief to the Fleet Maintenance Board of Directors. Workload is constantly monitored in the interim given the dynamic nature of operations. Considerations: Global Force Management, Optimized Fleet Response Plan, Port Capacity (Private Sector; RMC Contract Management Oversight), Dry Dock Availability, Maintenance Requirements, Modernization Requirements, Contract Type.
