COURSE OVERVIEW This one-day pediatric ICU course will focus on the medical complexities of the pediatric ICU patient. Topics will include: Multidisciplinary team members and their unique roles The impact of sedation medication and the impact of ICU delirium Common medical equipment and associated precautions ICU evaluation and common interventions including early mobility, progressive mobility and ECMO mobility Discharge planning and post-acute illness GENERAL INFORMATION The conference will be held at Children s Hospital of Philadelphia in the Ruth and Tristram Colket, Jr. Translational Research Building on the Raymond G. Perelman Campus on Saturday, April 28, 2018. Registration must be received by Monday, April 2, 2018. This course is appropriate for OTs, COTAs, PTs and PTAs. COURSE OBJECTIVES After attending this program, the participant should be able to: 1. Discuss the roles of the multidisciplinary staff in the ICU 2. Identify common medical equipment used in the pediatric ICU and associated precautions 3. Explain sedation medication and ICU psychosis 4. Discuss the evaluation of the pediatric ICU patient 5. Discuss common ICU interventions 6.
