R & D projects to obtain prototypes and demonstrators of new products, processes, technologies

EXAMPLES-(finished projects) Project SMOSCat: Budget: 1,3 M ; ACCIO grant : 0,3 M Project objective: to develop technology to make maps of soil moisture from SMOS satellite that allows to manage the water resources and prevent extreme weather events. Results: It has been developed algorithms that allow carrying out and implementing the objectives of the project. The currently leader company from the project participates in European projects SMOSCat, working directly with new international partners among which stands out ESA. Project E-MAN-RES: Budget: 0,504 M ; ACCIO grant : 0,201 M Project objective: Generation of knowledge about electric smart microgrids, establishing communication protocol between devices and designing two types of components that make up a system(energy and power converters manager). Results: developed technology that (in accordance with operating results between partners) allowed industrialize new products, expand the product catalog and increase the presence in the Austrian market, to one of the project partners. The project leader acts as a partner of reference for the Italian partner of the consortium (Sasso) in preparation of new offerings and solutions for its customers, a new activity is generated from the collaboration in the project E- MAN -NOTHING

EXAMPLES-(finished projects) Project V2X: Platform with integrated antennas Budget: 410,000 ; Grant ACCIO: 143,298.89 Project objective: Develop a platform V2X (communication vehicle to vehicle and vehicle to infrastructure) that allows to create a network of vehicles interconnected with the ability to be massproduced and integrated into most vehicles (new or not). Having the antenna integrated in the same platform, the system will provide higher performance and dramatically reduce the final cost of production of the device. Results: Development of a platform V2X that can be produced industrially in the automotive sector. V2X system with fully integrated antenna that allows a very competitive manufacturing cost while improving reliability and performance of the system as a whole. Industrial patent of the developed system.

Call 2017 PROVISIONAL INFORMATION International Nuclis: UNILATERAL Unilateral Frame: eligible expenditure Catalan company Collaborative project regulated by a consortium agreement Minimum of 2 unrelated entities (1 with operative base in Catalonia + an international company) Finance conditions Catalonia: Project s minimum budget: 150,000 euros. Direct and non-refundable grant of up to 200,000 euros. Grant intensity: up to 25-50%, depending on the company s size and the nature of its activities. No company shall support more than 70% of the project s budget. Projects should not start until the application form is officially submitted. Projects framed within RIS3CAT sectors and defined KET. The Catalan part of the project shall be developed in Catalonia. The grant will be awarded in an unilateral way from ACCIÓ. ACCIÓ will analyze the project as a whole, both the Catalan and the international parts. ACCIÓ will perform a follow-up on the part of the project carried out by the foreign partner. Priority will be given to projects in international cooperation

Direct and non-refundable grant of up to 200,000 euros. Grant intensity: up to 25-50%, depending on the company s size and the nature of its activities. No company shall support more than 70% of the project s budget. Projects shall not start before the application form is officially submitted Projects framed within RIS3CAT sectors and defined KET. The Catalan part of the projects must be developed in Catalonia. One- phase application process: The entities shall present different application forms in their country, together with the International Project Report (Joint Project Proposal). ACCIÓ will award grants when projects are approved by both institutions, the Catalan and the German / Chilean. Priority will be given to projects in international cooperation
