AUDIT SUMMARY Guideline 1: Governance, Probity and Compliance with Statutory Requirements Result Guideline 1.3.3. Compliant The RTO is non compliant with Guideline 1.3.3. While the RTO records management procedure states that the RTO will meet VTQA requirements it does not specifically state that copies of student records are not able to be withheld from the provider and that copies of student records able to be provided in electronic and print versions, at no cost to the VRQA in the event that the provider ceases operations. The RTO is required to adjust its records management procedures so that VRQA s requirements ate specified. Guideline 1.3.4 The RTO is non compliant in this Guideline. Refer AQTF report 1.4. The Trainer and Assessor s qualifications and professional development have not been consistently verified by the RTO. The RTO is required to revise its processes to ensure that trainer/assessor qualifications and experience are verified. Guideline 2: Quality Assurance, Review and Evaluation Processes Result Guideline 2.1.2 Compliant The RTO is non compliant with Guideline 2.1.2. This guideline requires that the RTO has a plan/schedule in place for validation of assessment with external parties. Extension to scope: not audited. The RTO is required to ensure that a validation plan/schedule is in place for validation of assessment with external parties. Guideline 2.2. The RTO is non compliant with Guideline 2.2. Inner Melbourne VET Cluster has a Plagiarism Policy and information is provided in the student handbook. Cheating is not specifically defined in the policy or in the student handbook. The Staff handbook does not include advice on the policy or methods for preventing cheating and plagiarism.
